My name is David Sturm, CKBR, CAPS. I founded Attention to Detail in 1997.  I started my own home remodeling business because while working for other  companies, it bothered me that so much of the work being done lacked the attention to detail that I felt every homeowner should be able to expect from a project.  Also, unlike other companies, I believe that the quality of the materials used and the workmanship should always be top-notch in a home, because this is where people are really going to be "living".

In 2007, David Sturm was the first of only three Georgians to achieve the CKBR (Certified Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeler) certification. Also in 2007, David Sturm earned his CAPS (Certified Aging and Place Specialist) certification.

David’s other certifications include deck installation through the Trex Company Program, installing and troubleshooting tankless water heaters by Rennai Water Heaters, and working with tile & waterproofing systems in showers in the Schluter Systems Innovations Program at the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation .

My name is Alison Sturm. I am Director of Business Operations at Attention to Detail Home Remodeling. I joined my husband David at Attention to Detail with the goal of creating a strong business that will provide the best possible service to clients.

Alison has 5 years experience in the Marketing Research Industry, and 2 years of MBA classes under her belt. With her help business processes and communication to clients have become the forefront of Attention to Detail’s strong customer service.

My name is Nathanael Berg and   I am a Project Manager at Attention to Detail. From an early age & throughout my childhood, my father- a carpenter of more than 30 years, taught me the skills of carpentry and fine woodworking. Wanting to follow my love for fine woodworking, even farther, I joined leading manufacturer and seller of custom architectural millwork in Atlanta.  Here I utilized my skills in radius carpentry such as arched doorways, curved window & entry trims, and spiraling stairways. After becoming an accomplished carpenter in finish trims and mill working, I decided to try my hand at framing. This became the job that taught me about green building, beginning with the use of Advanced Framing Techniques.

Since 2004, I have explored my new passion of green building & remodeling daily.  As a result of my interests I have created new techniques that improve even the most efficient home and have found low cost ways to implement them into the scopes of home projects. I have also found creative ways to recycle construction waste including salvaging hart pine timber from old houses and storing them in my back yard to build future furniture. I have also become quite “eco savvy” in my knowledge of numerous ways to decrease energy consumption in a home.

I am happy to bring my experience in traditional and green building to Attention to Detail. I am more than pleased to work with such a great company that not only stays up to date on the latest trends, techniques, and products in the remodeling industry, but encourages me to continue to pursue my passion of learning, teaching, and upgrading, green.
